Scott Stephens Bags a Masters To Up His Game in Cybersecurity

Would you believe it? Even with a hectic schedule in the U.S. Army, Stephens wasn’t deterred from taking a shot at education. As an Army Lieutenant Colonel used to precision and strategic maneuvers, Stephens didn’t miss his target at Webster University.

Between 2004-2005, Scott buried himself in books in the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Although he was a global trotter as an Intelligence Officer in cybersecurity, he could juggle studying and working. It was no surprise that after one year of diligent study, he completed his graduate degree.

Scott , a former Senior Intelligence Officer, defied the odds and bagged a Masters in Computer Resources and Information from Webster University. The institution of higher learning is a private university ranked No.10 the Best Online Colleges for Veterans.

Scott Stephens Puts His Masters To the Test

Armed with his master’s, Scott got involved in cybersecurity in the U.S. Army. As an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, Scott Stephens honed his cybersecurity skills in critical intelligence activities, including:

  • Cybersecurity
  • SIGINT
  • HUMINT
  • All-source intelligence

Scott put his cybersecurity knowledge at the operational and strategic levels. In his role as an intelligence officer, he developed, planned, executed, managed, and assessed the training and operations of complex multi-discipline cyber warfare and intelligence activities.

With his expertise in cybersecurity, Scott found himself working in several places around the world, including two years in Venezuela, one year in South Korea, five years in Germany, one year in Saudi Arabia, and two combat tours in Iraq.

Scott Stephens Directs HP Enterprise’s Cybersecurity System

Even after retiring in 2013, Scott Stephens saw it fit to grab an opportunity to serve HP Enterprise Group Global Supply Chain Product Cybersecurity as the director. His main responsibility was to formulate processes, policies, and controls to protect HP’s clients. He was the thought leader and cyber strategist for close to four years.

As someone who worked for EG GSC and Product Cybersecurity from 2013, Stephens knows the ins and outs of cybersecurity. As a result, businesses and individuals can bank on this vast experience and expertise. Also, many professionals who worked with him in the U.S. Army and HP have endorsed his sterling work.

Scott Stephens is currently consulting as a cybersecurity software engineer.
